Sustainability Expo at the Orbost Show
The theme for this year's Sustainability Expo is Think Local- Act Local. Prospective exhibitors and stall holders from across Gippsland are now being invited to register their interest. This is a great opportunity to showcase the latest innovations and research that reduces our ecological footprint and carefully uses our scarce resources.
If you have expertise to share, we would like to hear from you. If you know of a relatively new product and want to showcase it, let us know. If you have built a sustainable home you might like to share some of your knowledge. If you know how to do something more sustainably and would like to show us how, come along and provide a demonstration. This is all about what is available locally and how we can support each other.
Local producers and makers are encouraged to attend to showcase and sell their wares. This will encourage us to buy local.
With close to 50 sites the Expo will be a great opportunity for people to learn more about sustainable practices and products available for both the house and for use on the land. There will be something for everyone.
The Sustainability Expo is again being organised by Far East Victoria Landcare, a local, grass roots network that assists the local community to focus on issues relevant to them.
The Landcare volunteer run Sustainability Expo at the Orbost Show 2012 was such a great success that it won a prize as part of the Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria 2012 Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards.
Exhibitor site fees are $25 per site plus the gate entrance fee. Contact Penny for more details.
