Bairnsdale Urban Landcare Group
The Bairnsdale Urban Landcare group focus its activities on the Mitchell River where they manage an adopt-a-site for community members to participate in revegetation activities We are focusing the sites on the local schools to participate with replanting and tending sites for weeds etc There are 18 of these Adopt-a-sites and currently 14 of these sites are being looked after by school groups, families,and community groups.

"Establish effective community action to manage land degradation and assist the move to more sustainable resource uses in the Bengworden and Meerlieu area"
Broadlands Landcare Group
The group is situated on the eastern outskirts of Bairnsdale and established with a keen interest to address and share information on issues such as lakeshore erosion, tree decline, erosion and localised salinity.
Bruthen Landcare Group
The Bruthen & District Landcare group reformed in November 2005 and the group area covers 14,383 hectares. This area encompasses Wiseleigh, Bruthen, Mossiface and Sarsfield. The group is situated approximately 20 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Buchan Landcare Group
The Buchan Landcare group formed in 1998 and the group area covers 16,382 hectares. This area encompasses Buchan, Buchan South and Murrindal. The group is situated approximately 75 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Clifton Creek Community Landcare Group
The Clifton Creek Community Landcare group formed in 1998 and the group area covers 10,320 hectares. This area encompasses Bullumwal, Clifton Creek, Waterholes, Mount Taylor and Granite Rock. The group is situated approximately 15 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Cobblers Creek Catchment Landcare Group
The Cobblers Creek Catchment Landcare group formed in 1992 and the group area covers 15,020 hectares. The group boundaries are Bengworden Road in the west to Forge Creek Road in the east and south of the Princes Highway.
Colquhoun North-Arm Landcare Group
This Group is located around Lakes Entrance between Kalmna in the west and Toorloo Arm in the east.
Dargo Landcare Group
The Dargo Landcare group formed in 1995 and the group area covers 23,840 hectares. This area encompasses Wongungarra, Dargo, Castleburn and Cobbannah. The group is situated approximately 80 km north west of the City of Bairnsdale.

Friends Of Picnic Point Reserve Landcare Group
The Friends Of Picnic Point Reserve Landcare Group or FOPPR, formed in mid 2008 and the group focuses their attention on restoring the iconic Picnic Point Reserve in Bairnsdale West.
Gelantipy Landcare Group
The Gelantipy Landcare group formed in 1998 and the group area covers 10,490 hectares. This area encompasses Butcher’s Ridge, Gelantipy, Wulgulmerang and Black Mountain. The group is situated approximately 100 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Glenaladale Landcare Group
The Glenaladale Landcare group formed in 2004 and the group area covers 10,639 hectares. This area encompasses Iguana Creek, Glenaladale and Fernbank. The group is situated approximately 30 km north west of the City of Bairnsdale.
Lower Tambo Landcare Group
Within the Lower Tambo Landcare area our shared vision is: • To re-establish with native vegetation the river banks, wetlands and roadsides. • To help landowners fence off sensitive areas to provide corridors for native flora and fauna. • To control and maintain pest plants and animals.
Nicholson River Landcare Group
The Nicholson River Landcare group formed on the 3rd of May 2004 and the group area covers 3,096 hectares. This area encompasses the Nicholson River from the mouth up to Sarsfield The group is situated approximately 15 km east of the City of Bairnsdale.

Swifts Creek-Ensay Landcare Group
The Swifts Creek Ensay Landcare group formed in 1993 and the group area covers 57,475 hectares. This area encompasses Bindi, Tongio, Swifts Creek, Cassilis, Brookville, Doctor’s Flat, Ensay and Tambo Crossing. The group is situated approximately 100 kilometres north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Tambo Bluff Landcare Coastcare
The Tambo Bluff Landcare Coastcare group formed in 1992 and the group area covers 1,221 hectares. This area is a promontory situated on the eastern shore of Lake King, in the Gippsland Lakes, approximately 30 kilometres east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Timbarra Landcare Group
The Timbarra Landcare group formed in 1997 and the group area covers 1,413 hectares. This area encompasses the entire Timbarra farming settlement. The group is situated approximately 100 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Tom's Creek Landcare Group
The Toms Creek Landcare group formed in 1998 and the group area covers 29,457 hectares. The group is located north and south of the Princes Highway between the Perry River in the west and Redcourt Lane in the east.
