What Landcare area do I look after?
In my role as Landcare Facilitator with the East Gippsland Landcare Network (EGLN) I assist in supporting the Landcare community in the areas from Perry River in the west, the Gippsland Lakes in the south, Lakes Entrance in the east and the foothill forest interface with public private land forming the northern boundary of the EGLN. I also assist the EGLN with administrative functions.
Where do I live?
I have recently moved to Clifton Creek.
What is my Background?
Prior to commencing employment in the NRM field I worked in the community sector for some 15 years. I have been involved in NRM in various ways throughout my life, most recently I have enjoyed opportunities with Parks Vic at Mallacoota as Seasonal Ranger for 6 months and Green corps team leader in Bairnsdale. In commencing with EGLN I was Project Officer for nearly two years before taking on the challenge of becoming the EGLN Facilitator.
My Interests & Hobbies?
I am currently completing my Bachelor of Environmental Science which does not allow a great deal of time to pursue my other interests such as kayaking, fishing and camping. Having recently moved now provides me with the opportunity also pursue my passion for gardening (when I finish my study that is!!!!!)
My aspirations for Landcare in East Gippsland :
To ensure that the East Gippsland Landcare Network (EGLN) maintains and strengthens itself as a leading and vibrant organisation within East Gippsland in the future
